A great day was had by all the riders at the Gymkhana on Friday 30th June. The weather stayed fair until the very last race and the horses and ponies all behaved so well. It's fair to say we have some very competitive riders! The obstacle course was a big hit once again and they all went away with rosettes, medals and a shiny gold cup. Thanks to all the wonderful volunteers who made it all happen along with VirginMediaO2 who gave their support and good cheer again this year. Looking forward to the next one!
Weeton Show, held at the end of July, have introduced a new Class to celebrate your favourite horse or pony and promote the benefits that all equines can bring us, something we know all about, that special bond! Class 40 is kindly being sponsored by Follifoot Park Riding Centre. For more information about entering the class (you don't have to go in person and neither does the horse!) please go to www.weetonshow.co.uk

This year the Gymkhana will take place on Friday 30th June, 2023. We love this event, it's a fun day for everyone involved and lovely to see so many riders having a good time, playing games and winning trophies! Entry forms have been issued so please return them as soon as possible and before May 26th. This gives us time to organise the running order. Thank you!
We're delighted to say our annual picnic will be held again this year on Monday 21st August, 2023. It's the only time when we can bring everyone together, the riders, volunteers, families and carers...oh and some horses and ponies too! More details will be sent out shortly along with the invitations.
We are delighted to announce that six of our volunteers have now been with the Charity for 30 years and some of them are are pictured here with their long service certificates.
Chair of FPDRG Morag Bennett, says; Volunteers are the lifeblood of our Charity and we are lucky to have so many people willing to give up their time to help our riders. To have served for 30 years is a remarkable achievement and shows amazing dedication for which we’re very grateful. We're also fortunate to be based at Follifoot Park Riding Centre, with its excellent facilities and continued support.
Volunteer Beryl Fleming says; It is a real pleasure volunteering here and so rewarding to see the progress that our riders make and the fun that horse riding gives them.
Pictured with Morag Bennett are Belinda Yarrow, Lucy Longden, Beryl Fleming, Anne Barber and Peter Whatley. Mandy Slevin (pictured seperately) and not forgetting Nigel the horse! A huge thank you to them all.
